On Sunday we made it up to Fisherman’s Bay (Lopez Island). We stayed two nights and Monday evening it blew 20+ kts which made it a little bumpy on the outer mooring at Lopez Islander Resort Marina. Tuesday morning we battled the tide out of the bay and sailing up and around the corner of the island trying to catch a salmon. No joy so we went into Indian Cove for a bite to eat and a spot of shark fishing. Much to the boys’ disappointment (and my relief) we didn’t catch anything there either. We then had fantastic sail (touching 7 kts) round to Friday Harbor.
At Friday Harbor we bought 2lbs of spotted shrimp and enjoyed a shrimp-feast on the boat. Ben and Jack finished off the evening with an ice-cream.
